The City of Burnaby

The City of Burnaby last night endorsed the introduction of a procurement policy that will require the inclusion of mandatory mechanical insulation, and the inspection of the insulation in all new construction projects funded by the City.  Council went on to request that city staff develop a report to come back to Council on the benefits of mechanical insulation, and suggested language for a resolution to be put before the Union of BC Municipalities, at their annual meeting scheduled for September 2011 in Vancouver, for all other Municipalities to do the same.
